Jason Bergtold earns teaching honor
A Kansas State University professor has won a top teaching award for the second consecutive year.
Jason Bergtold, K-State agricultural economics professor and ARISE project theme leader, was awarded the 2025 Dr. Ron and Rae Iman Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching. The honor is given to faculty who demonstrate exceptional teaching, strong student relationships, and distinguished service to the university. This latest recognition follows his 2024 David Mugler Outstanding Teaching Award from the K-State College of Agriculture.
Bergtold plays a key leadership role for the ARISE project, guiding research on community resilience in the face of increasingly common severe weather disasters. He also leads the ARISE Research Experiences for Undergraduates program.
