LSAMP Connections

LSAMP is short for the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. We leverage two of these programs, including the Kansas LSAMP program led by Kansas State University and the ASTER program led by the University of Kansas. Both programs have partnerships with other colleges to promote the success of undergraduates from groups underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Other Undergrad Opportunities

We leverage the Developing Scholars program at Kansas State University by expanding its reach to be able to provide research experiences for more first-generation and underrepresented students at KSU. Students get paid $1,250/semester. The program welcomes all majors.

Similarly, we leverage the Emerging Scholars Program at the University of Kansas. This program supports low-income undergrads in their first year at KU. Scholars paid $10/hour. No prior research experience is required, just an interest in research and learning something new.
