Apply Now for the 2021 Ecosystems of Kansas Summer Institute for Kansas(ESKI) for high school biology and environmental science teachers. The Institute will be held at the University of Kansas Field Station on June 7-11, 2021 (arrive the evening of June 6 if traveling from out of town). The field station is located at 350 Wild Horse Road, Lawrence, KS 66044. All KU COVID-19 protocols will be followed and masks are required.
Teachers will earn a stipend of $750 for actively participating in the week’s activities and writing curriculum. A travel allowance will be provided for all participants and housing will be provided for participants who live more than an hour drive from the University of Kansas Field Station. Ten teachers from across the state will be selected to attend.
Each day will include activities that involve field sampling and experiments. Teachers will learn and develop activities they can take back to use with their students. Teachers will work directly with KU faculty.
