Join us monthly for new episodes on the Ecosystems of Kansas, elementary school level lessons on ecology, and hands-on activities developed in accordance with Next Generation Science Standards. This MAPS Kansas Ecosystems for Elementary Students (KEES) project in collaboration with the KU Natural History Museum is led by Dr. Peggy Schultz, associate specialist, KU Environmental Studies Program, and her team. Each episode will be presented in a Spanish-language version, and an English-language version and will feature researchers at the University of Kansas! Topics will include Biomes, Trophic Levels, Life Cycles, Natural Selection, and Plant and Animal Adaptations. Episodes will debut on the KU Natural History Museum’s Facebook page and be available on its Facebook Videos tab as well as on the YouTube page of the Kansas Biological Survey. This broader impacts project is part of the Microbiomes of Aquatic, Plant and Soil Systems Across Kansas (MAPS) grant through the Kansas NSF EPSCoR RII Track-1 Award OIA-1656006.
